Delete your account and data

Applies to the Stash app by CTF Designs LLC

You can permanently delete your Stash account and everything in it. There is no charge and you do not have to give a reason.

How to request deletion

Email roman@ctfdesigns.com with the subject "Delete my Stash account", sent from the email address you use to sign in to Stash. That is the only thing we need to identify you.

We confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 7 days. You will get a written confirmation when it is done.

What gets deleted

Your account and sign-in record, including your email address
Every item, quantity and storage location in your kitchen
Your shopping list, meals, notes and purchase history
Your entire chat history with Stash, including transcripts of anything you said out loud
Anything read from a receipt you scanned

All of it is removed from our live systems within 7 days and purged from encrypted backups within 30 days. Nothing is retained in an identifiable form after that.

What we may keep, and why

Records we are legally required to keep, such as any tax or transaction records if you ever paid for something. These are kept only as long as the law requires.
Server security logs, which are retained for up to 30 days and then discarded automatically.

Neither of these is used to rebuild your account or to contact you.

A lighter option

If you only want some of it gone, you do not have to delete the account. Inside the app you can delete individual items, clear your shopping list, and clear your chat history. Signing out on its own does not delete anything.
