These terms are an agreement between you and CTF Designs LLC, a California limited liability company ("we", "us"), covering your use of the Stash mobile app and anything connected to it. By installing or using Stash, you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use Stash with a parent or guardian's permission. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your sign-in secure.
Stash is a tool for keeping track of food in your home. You tell it what you have, what you bought and what you used, and it maintains an inventory, a shopping list, and estimates for how long things last.
Stash is not a food safety authority. Expiry dates and shelf life estimates in the app are approximations produced by software, not inspections of your actual food. They can be wrong. Always trust the label on the package, your own eyes and your own nose over anything Stash tells you. Never eat something because an app said it was fine.
Stash is also not medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. If you have allergies, a medical condition, or dietary restrictions, verify ingredients yourself. Nothing in the app should be relied on for those decisions.
Stash uses AI to interpret what you write, say and photograph. AI systems make mistakes, misread quantities, invent details and misunderstand instructions. Review what Stash records, particularly after scanning a receipt. You are responsible for checking that your inventory is right before relying on it.
What you put into Stash stays yours. You give us a limited licence to store, process and transmit it purely to operate the app for you, including sending it to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.
Do not use Stash to store anything unlawful, anything that infringes someone else's rights, or anything you do not have the right to upload.
Do not: reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app; attempt to access other users' data; probe or attack our infrastructure; scrape or abuse our APIs; use automated systems to hammer the service; or resell access to Stash. We can suspend or terminate accounts that do these things.
Stash is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available at all times, free of bugs, or preserved forever. Features can change or be removed. We may suspend the service for maintenance, and we may discontinue it entirely, in which case we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.
Stash relies on services from Supabase, Anthropic, Groq, Google and Apple. Their availability and behaviour are outside our control, and their own terms apply to their services. We are not responsible for their failures or outages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stash is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CTF Designs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, spoiled food, illness, or missed purchases, arising out of your use of Stash. Our total liability for any claim relating to Stash is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Stash in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can stop using Stash at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we are required to by law. Sections 4, 8, 9 and 11 survive termination.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Riverside County, California, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you the right to bring claims locally, this does not take that right away.
We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will update the date at the top and notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Stash after that means you accept the new terms.
